Professor Blechert received his Ph. D. from the University Basel. After post-doctoral research in Freiburg, Stanford, and Salzburg he assumed an Assistant Professorship at Salzburg University in October 2011. He completed his habilitation in Psychology in November 2013 and is currently employed as Full Professor at the Department of Psychology, Division of Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Health Psychology.
